- Altering colors 0-15 in modes with more than 16 colors should be AVOIDED,
- but tolerable if it's managed properly.

- As I mentioned before, if the manager were to handle the palettes
- automatically for each window, storing the current palette when the
- window is untopped and restoring the one assigned to the top window, then
- there wouldn't be many conflicts, especially if most programs only change
- the palette while their window is on top.
